Runic Balance
Using the ancient and
mysterious Runes (found carved in stone in
Sweden, likely from the first century B.C.E.),
this 'balance' uses a counter-weight to
measure the 'runic weight' of an idea. The
lead crystal ball has the runes painted
around the middle facets and the cast stone
base has them carved into its surface. This
sculpture can be used as a centering device
when casting the Runes for insight and
inspiration.
Cast stone, steel, brass, lead crystal and
internal electric lighting. Approx. 40
inches (1 metre) tall.
